Walewein

Inspired by medieval king Arthur literature, Walewein is an animated short based on Roman van Walewein wherein the titular brave knight is sent on a quest to Indi. His arrival is foretold in a dream; Ysabele, the daughter of the king of Indi, tries to warn her father about the oncoming storm. Though in love with the adventurous knight she may be, she can’t simply allow the foreign knight to take over her father’s castle. During his travels, Walewein fights many a knight, rescues many a lady, and slays many a dragon.

Walewein is a 2d animation created in Toon Boom with backgrounds done in pastels. It is meant to lift the old and dry medieval texts into the 21st century and show people just how cool the original king Arthur stories can be.
