Nature is so much more connected than we think.

Did you know nature can talk? Did you know that there is an immense network of little white threads underneath our feet, communicating and exchanging nutrients? This fungal network counts trillions of tiny branches, connecting plants and trees. It forms an essential chain in nature’s cycle of life and death, but still barely anyone knows about it.

We often see nature as a single entity, but still individual elements: trees, grass, flowers, insects etc. However, all of these elements are so much more connected than we think they are. For example, trees (and lots of other plants) live in close symbiosis with fungi. This underground network can be best compared to the internet or phone network in our human world.

Within my installation you travel through the mycelium network and when looking closely enough you will learn more about its significance.
