Once upon a garment

Everyone has a piece of clothing that tells a story. At ‘once upon a garment’ the story of your clothing is very important. This story will always stay with you even if you no longer wear the garment.

My innate drive to share human stories combined with a passionate connection to fashion has brought me to my latest adventure and it will also be my graduation project.

You can pass on items of clothing through the ‘pass-on-cabinet’ and the Instagram account. The cabinet is equipped with cards where people can write down what the memory is and the reason for passing it on. The garments are labeled with a QR code that connects you to the Instagram account, where you can hear the stories that go with the garment.

The focus of this project is, how beautiful it is to wear a piece of clothing with a story.
