Of Lüdenscheid and Weaving

Hills and overhead electricity and telephone lines, rain that started softly and later fell from the sky in torrents (I was later told by the daughter that it always rained in Lüdenscheid).

I am a translator. Translating stories, experiences, and relationships into physical form. I examine the way ‘het Web’ works. ‘Het Web’ consists of every connection and interconnection between each individual. It is always in motion; connections that fade and new ones that arise, connections that attenuate while others strengthen. When a colleague becomes a friend and a family member becomes a stranger. A one-day vacation to Lüdenscheid, Germany translated into a dress and woven connections on wearable jackets.
