The image of your home changes as soon as you lie in bed for a long time. It can be the most boring yet inspiring place. Last year, I had an operation on my knee that left me in bed for four months. To escape from this, I transformed elements from everyday life into my own dreamlike world. Through the lens of my Polaroid camera, I went on a voyage of discovery between the walls of my own home. These Polaroids are compiled into a book.
In addition to these photographs, I also made sculptures using the oranges in my kitchen and my own ears as inspiration. With childlike imagination and wonder, I try to see things differently. I enlarge, re-contextualize and add unusual elements that form surreal scenes existing of sculptures, photographic work or a mix.
