Een stille ode
Everyone has a memory of an object or habit of someone who has passed away. By creating a still life from these objects or habits, a new way of remembering emerges, in which not the person but the memory is central. You can see the still life as a souvenir from that person, a silent ode. The still life serves as a moment between two people but can also be shared with others. This way everyone has the chance to cherich the person.
With ‘‘A Silent Ode’’ I want to make grief and death more negotiable. So we can skip the funeral cake and make it more personal. How do you remember your loved ones?
